Harp in awe
SubjectTurn
I am still waiting to hear from Randy and Jake.
If I have not heard anything from them by say 8PM I will go ahead and write something up tonight.

When Mund finishes playing, Harp applauds with all his might. He has never heard such moving music. Harp has tried to pluck a few notes on the small travelling harp that he normally kept in his pack saddle, but he had never heard such music before. Here was a felllow warrior/minstrel. When Mund finishes, Harp will buy him another round of ale and ask him where he learned to perform so well. Harp may even suggest a duet, *if* the rest of the group requests it. If they don't then Harp may suggest it to Mund. No reason to pass up such a wonderful chance.

Dang! You beat me to it! I was writing this when your email came in:
Salix doesn't particularly dislike the music. While he can recognize that it isn't courtly music or that played in more refined halls, it is music nonetheless. (But then again Salix hears the braying of a donkey or the screech of a hawk as music too. Ears tuned to the greensong are apparently more inclusive than those which are not.)
Salix will applaud sincerely, if not as exuberantly as Harp. He'd be very interested in hearing a duet between the two for both the sound of it as well as the anthropological curiosity of such an event.

This literally made me laugh out loud.

"So, Quarion says y'all need to get to the headwaters of the Rushing River. It's not terribly far, but it's pretty rough going. My best guess is that it will take us about three weeks to get there. The last week we'll have no type of road or trail. Ain't much need for one. No reason for anybody to go up there."
"So why y'all goin up there anyways? Is it treasure? 'Cuz if it is, I expect a full...."
Mund counts the people around the table, does some figuring on his fingers,
"a full ten percent. Equal risk means equal share." Mund glares around the table, almost daring somebody to deny him his full 10%.

Subject Mira
OOC: Sorry for the lateness of these replies. I have been crazy busy lately.
Ranthir awakes early and dresses quickly but carefully. He heads out to the city gardens where the flower market is and purchases a bouquet for Mira. He then hires a carriage to carry them to the wedding. When he arrives to collect Mira, she is just having the finishing touches done to her hair. Her red locks are pulled up with babys breath accents. Ringlets hang down on each side of her face. Ranthir hands the flowers to her and says "The flowers pale in comparison to your beauty."
Mira blushes and giggles at the comment. "Thank-you Ranthir, they are perfect." Mira is wearing a gorgeous jade green gown that matches her eyes. As the final pins are put into place in her hair she gets up and takes Ranthir's arm.
They are a little early yet so Ranthir offers the carriage driver some extra coin to take them the long way to the ceremony, back through the city gardens.
The wedding is beautiful. Ranthir introduces Mira to everyone and makes a little general small talk but most of his attention is on her.
Mira gasps at the wonderous appearance of Valorshield.
As Angelwing announces the plan to meet later, Ranthir looks to Mira. He pulls her aside and says to her "As you know I will be departing on a quest soon. It will be dangerous and I may not return. I am in good company and I believe we have a good chance of success. Know that if I do return, I will do so with the intention of finding you."
Mira inhales sharply. A tear forms in the corner of her eye as she pulls Ranthir to her. She kisses him hard. "I will be waiting for you. Thank you for this most perfect morning."

Subject The Reception
In the time between the reception and the meeting, Ranthir says his farewells to Mira. There are a few tears and many embraces. Mira also presents Ranthir with a small gift. She hands him a blank bound book along with a quill and ink. "To keep a journal of your travels. I want to hear all about it when you return."
*
At the meeting Ranthir has no questions. As soon as they are dismissed he goes to see his father. "Father, is your health not improving?"
"I am still having strange difficulties. I don't know what is causing it but I believe it has something to do with those opposing us in our goals relating to the prophecy. Please, go on your quest and do not worry about me. I believe that your quest succeeding is my best chance of having my health restored."

Subject Mund
Ranthir keeps to himself for most of the journey. He is polite to all but spends a lot of his time gazing over the water or writing in his journal.
When they meet Mund, Ranthir keeps his mouth shut. He is not the leader of this expedition and he doesn't want to step in when Harp does not request his assistance.
