The Reception
Subject Turn
I am going to assume Harp does not want to do anything.
Still waiting to hear from Randy and Jake.
Since it is not a big deal, if I do not hear from them by tonight I will go ahead and write the next section.

Subject The reception
The party members are led to a private dining room. Most of the people who were at the wedding are at the reception, with the exception the two other clerics that had assisted with the ceremony. Anglewing and Rochelle sit at the head table along with the Knight/Marshall and the cleric that had overseen the wedding. Talk is subdued, for some it is because of what had happened during the vows, for others it is because of what had happened the night before. The seven companions are seated together at the same table. Harp and Salix even set aside their distaste for Kal so that it is a reasonably enjoyable meal for everyone. The food is simple but well prepared and everyone eats their fill.
When the meal is done Goodheart stands and calls the room to attention. "This is a happy day for all in the Order, none more so than our brother Angelwing. I wish him and his bride well in the years to come. We all know that trying times are likely to be ahead, but take what joy you can find and live it to the fullest." With that he raises his glass for a toast and every one toasts the happy couple. Ran feels a small twinge when he clinks his wine glass with Mira, but the feelings behind him. "Now" continues Goodheart " I have another announcement to make.
As of today, Anglewing is promoted to Knight/Colonel of the Order and is put in charge of the 3rd Regiment." Angelwing looks a bit stunned at this, but rises from his chair and joins Goodheart. The old soldier presents the young man with his sword of office. "This sword was carried by the first knight to lead the 3rd Regiment, Brendan Strongarm. May you live up to his name." The room breaks into applause and stomping of feet. Harp almost breaks the table top by slapping his hand down on it. "I thank you and the Knight/Marshall for this honor" Anglewing says "and I will do my best to be worthy of it." He looks at Ran's father and frowns at what he sees. Ran's father is looking very pale.
"Knight/Marshall, are you well?" ask Angelwing. "Well enough, but still weak. I think I will take my leave, and let those younger continue the celebration." Pages are called and the head of the Order is helped back to his room. Angelwing turns serious. He walks over to the table where the party is sitting. "We need to talk about your next mission. Meet Goodheart and me in the meeting room in 1/2 an hour." Angelwing walks back to Rochelle and takes her arm and leads her from the room.
1/2 hour later the party is all in the same meeting room that they had met in the day before. Angelwing, Quarion Smith and Goodheart are both there as well as the seven members of the party. Goodheart starts. "Ok so we have a little better idea of what we are looking for, if not what it does. We, and I mean the order, had thought the Crown of Valorshield lost centuries ago. I guess it turns out we were only half right. We did not know where it was but Valorshield did." He grins at this. His grin quickly disappears when he does not hear anyone else laughing. "We still have no idea how the thing works but our best guess is that we have to retrieve the 8 stones that should be in the crown. We have several paintings that show the crown with 8 different stone. We think that at least one will be found at the testing grounds."
"To help you on your way we have supplied Brother Ragnar with a good supply of healing potions and some more powerful healing scrolls. We will also supply him with several scrolls that will allow him to create food and water for the day. That way you will not have to be heavily burdened with supplies. The food will be filling if not tasty and the water will be fresh and pure. The horses you have now will not fit on the boat you will be taking, so we have arranged for all of you to have riding horses when you meet your contact. Bring what you must, but know that speed is essential. You must be at the headwaters of the Rushing River in time or all it lost. Any questions?"
OODM: Ok the floor is open. Ask now or forever keep your peace.
