They don't really distract from the narrative, to me, but they do help me understand the game mechanics. However, if you moved them to the bottom, I'd probably skip them because it would be too much effort to read through them and mentally put them back into context.
But if you remove them I won't cry about it.

I do like having them in there. Whether they are in the middle of the text or at the end is about the same to me, with maybe a slight preference for all collected at the end. I wouldn't complain if most people wanted them left out, but I do like seeing them.

OOC: I find them slightly distracting but not enough to actually care if you remove them or not.
IC: Ranthir is pretty sure that this last statue is not going to come to life and attack them but he will try to knock it over just in case. He can't really be any help to the others anyway.
