Not feeling up to snuff

Harp listens to everyone's comments. "I have made my decision. We will go back to the main room and rest up there. Brother Ragnar will keep an eye on all of those who were bitten and see if any have been infected. If so he will ask for Hieronious's grace in curing the disease. When one day has passed we will return to this room and go through this door. If there turns out to be nothing on the other side, Hieroneous willing, we will quickly go to the next room in order. Does everyone understand?" Harp glances around the other people, seeing some of them nod in obvious agreement and others nodding in hesitant agreement.

The party makes its way back to the main room and set up camp again. It had just been a few hours since they had gotten up from the previous "night's" rest. The fighters take the time to repair what damage they can on their armor. They get out their whetstones and put new edges on their weapons. Allistair pours over his spell book, reading the spell descriptions of each again and again, trying to figure out how a particular spell might be useful in a coming combat. Surin and Salix reminisce about their trip from Halburg to Gorn, when they first met.

Over the next several hours Ragnar does his best to help those bit feel a bit more comfortable (Heal skill). He does not have much to work with, basically a bit of food and some water, but the dwarf is able to make some head way. Ranthir, Surin and Mund all start showing the beginning signs of a fever and their wounds start to fester a bit. However, Ragnar is able to make a poultice from some herbs he had in his kit and Mund and Ran do not get any worse. Over the next day they slip into a light delirious state, but Ragnar stays with them and it soon passes. Surin, however, is a different matter.

The halfling burns with fever despite the dwarf's best effort. (2 Points CON damage, 3 Points DEX damage). After 24 hours Ragnar reports to Harp. "He has it and will die from it in a couple of days if I do not cure it. It is possible, with my help, that the halfling will be able to deal with the infection on his own, but he is very weak now. What do you want me to do?"

OODM: Except for Surin, assume that Harp and Ragnar used all of their available healing spells and that every one is at full. Surin has some stat damage and is down 5 because of his 8 CON score. Fill in the day for me. :)
