The next morning, Derek is back
Subject: The druids
"I can't help but think of the actions they would take against an over-powering force of good in the area. Would they be willing to go to the same lengths? After today I believe they would. They seem to have no regard for anything but self preservation."

A surprising sound wakes the party the next morning. It is the sound of birds singing. For a second they almost do not recognize it, it seems so long ago that they last heard it. It is just after sunrise and Harp and Ragnar move a short way off to have a quite contemplation time to themselves. Ragnar has seemed more distant than usual, his face more dour. Salix also spends some time preparing himself for the morning activity. Kal and Allistair spend their time with their spell books. Ally in particular feels relived to have access to his arcane power back. Mund is quieter than usual, telling his brother that he had not slept well and that strange dreams had filled his sleep. "Weird things. Me getting chased and cornered but when I turned to face the guys chasin me, it wern't me. They was chasin a bear. Then they stuck me with this huge spear and I woke up. I must've still been dreamin, because I could swear my arm felt like it was covered in fur or something."
Ally laughs at this and pulls up the arm of the cotton shirt, exposing Mund's forearm "You ax swinger. You've been hairy like a bear since you were twelve. Hell, you have more hair on your back then most men have on their whole body. Remember when Mom used to call you her carpet?" The mage punches his brother lightly on the arm. Mund punches Ally back, harder than he really needs to but nods agreement that he really does not feel.
After a plain but filling breakfast, a young druid girl comes for them and leads them to the same clearing where the Council had met yesterday. This time only the male druids are there, a circle of 12, with Flint one of them. The surround the stone table. While the others take their place on the same small hill as yesterday, Flint calls "Wealdward Salix, present yourself to the Council of Fathers." Salix goes forward and the party watches a ceremony few outsiders have ever seen.
OODM: I will let Karl write this up. I will also write up the trip to the estate and Bodentown tomorrow.

OOC: I just flew back in this evening. It took me over an hour to read up on what happened to the Kalevan group. It seems I missed everything but the final epilogue. Good writing on Mark's part.
