"It is time for me to prepare for the ordeal ahead. You may rest, if you wish, or take refreshment. Someone will be sent to find you and bring you to the Circle when the time comes. You are all invited. The Council usually does not allow outsiders to watch the inner workings of our order, but I have argued that you should be allowed." The old man gets up with the rest of the party. He walks over to Salix, gives him a long hug and then walks off into the forest.
Ragnar turns to Salix and Ranthir "Would you two mind coming with me? I plan on spending my time praying for my blessings for the day and I will be asking for the power to return what was taken from you. I think it best, if you don't mind, to have you close at hand when I am ready." The two nod and the three of them move off a distance into the woods.
Kal and Surin head off together looking for a place to rest and reflect on has transpired the last several hours and what is going to happen. The two brothers spend some time talking over Mund's near death experience. Harp moves off and finds one of the younger druids. "Umm, sir?" he asks "There was a young lady that was brought in from Bodentown. The one that came in with Sephira?" "Yes" the young elf maid says "Do you want to see her? I can take you." Harp nods yes and the young druid leads him through the woods to a small clearing where a camp has been set up for Thanga. Harp walks slowly into the camp, not sure what to expect.
An hour later Ragnar finishes his meditation for the day. He realizes how much he needed that. His mind is clearer and he feels refreshed, emotionally if not physically. He turns to Salix and Ranthir and says "Come brothers, let me see what I can do about your inner hurts." Ragnar then chants the prayer of restoration, first for Salix and then for Ranthir. As the dwarf finishes each prayer, both of the recipients feels like something essential has been given back to them. Just as they are finished a druid coughs from the fringe of the clearing. Salix turns "We are ready. Lead us to the council."
When the three get to the large open glade the other 5 are already there. The Council has seated itself on the soft grass in a large circle. Further out, in an even larger circle are another 50 or so druids. Salix has never seen this many druids together in one place. In the middle sits Acer. He has changed into plain clothing of a muted brown and russet. He holds a large staff in his hands. He sits cross legged, his face serene. Flint comes forward "I am glad to see you all decided to join us. Salix will be coming with me to assist in this. The rest of you may want to take a seat over on that small rise. It should give you a good view and keep you far enough away that if anything goes wrong you will not be in danger.
The seven party members wish Salix good luck and move over to the small rise. There they can see that 24 druids make up the inner circle while 48 make up the outer. Each of the inner circle druids is linked arm to arm with the druid next to them and each druid of the inner circle has two druids behind them, hand on their shoulders. When Flint and Salix are in place Acer speaks up.
OODM: I will write more tonight when I get home and have access to my Deities and Demigods book. You guys can role play the hour rest period if you want.

OOC: Just a heads up, I will be leaving for vacation Friday at noon. I'll most likely have no computer access from then until August 6th or 7th. Anyone want to volunteer to take control of Ran for that time?

I'd be glad to take him unless someone else really wants to. Ran is the character I least understand in the party; it would be nice to play as him for a while.
