Cadfael and Rennik, Next Round Tomorrow

Cadfael moves to come down the rope and then stops himself. They are deep within the jungle and it is no secret that they are here. After their encounter in the tower, the sound of Rennik's chopping and Rennik's meeting with Elise it's entirely likely that they're being observed right now. If someone were to come along and cut the rope they would have a very hard time getting back out of the well.
After a moment's hesitation he pulls out his mace again and begins to warily watch the trees that form a natural fence around the clearing. He will *not* be taken by surprise again.

Rennik struggles to stay afloat and still make progress toward the fight. The weight of the chain shirt surprised him as he hit the water - it was obviously not meant for use in the water and threatened to tug him under the water. In his leathers, he wouldn't be having this much trouble, and he cursed himself for neglecting to consider the extra weight and stiffness of his new armor.
Still, he was in the water now and couldn't back off. His only hope would be to help end the fight quickly, then scramble back up the rope to dry land.
