Mund and Salix, Mund goes looking

From: Porter

Subject Mund and Salix

Mund tries to pick Surin's pocket as a joke, just to see if he can.

Subject Mund and Salix

Regaining control of himself after Mund's little prank, Harp thinks to him self - Great, another of his plans already going bad. Whoever designed this place had a real wierd sense of humor.

"Mund, do you want to risk taking a step into either room? Maybe something will happen then?Harp looks back over his shoulder - "Allistair, how much time does Mund have in this condition?"

Assuming Mund agrees to go back - "Mund, see what you can back there - if crossing the doorway does anything, if you can see the key, if there looks like anything odd (other than what is there).

OOC: Any other suggestions guys (and gal) ?

Mund's replies comes from a ways off, over by Surin, who jumps and gives out a small yelp when Mund speaks up. "Um, sure. I'll go check it out."

Mund approaches very cautiously. He realizes that he's still pretty weak from the doggie battle, so he's ready to turn tail and run at the first sign of trouble.

"That invisibility spell should be good for five minutes. That should be enough for him to check out the rooms."

Allistair tries to talk loud enough so that Mund can hear. "That invisibility will keep you invisible even if something attacks you. But if you attack back you will instantly become visible again! Also your footsteps will be visible in water!"

Salix pipes up. "Harp, let me send the elemental in to check things out."

If Harp agrees, Salix will send the elemental in to check out the fire room, telling it that if it encounters any creatures, it should try to lure it/them into the main room, toward the fountain room.

Subject Mund and Salix

Mund still sneaks forward to see if this works.

From: Kevin

Subject Mund and Salix

"Salix, go ahead with the elemental, but I want Mund to also look around while he still has time.

Do you hear me Mund?" Harp asks, looking around.

Subject Elemental

Karl, I had assumed that you had already sent the small elemental into the fire room. You do not have any type of telepathic link with the creature and the thing is only summoned for 6 rounds or 36 seconds. By the time Mund gets back and Harp asks him to return and look, the elemental would be gone.

Even invisible Mund finds that picking someone's pocket is not as easy as it looks. While he is able to get up close to the halfling, his fumble fingers draw Surin's attention (Slight of hand, 2+3=5 vs. spot check 4+10=14, fail.). The halfling looks down at his pouch, wondering why he felt a tugging at it. Mund laughs to himself and moves back up to the front of the back, bumping his brother on the way.

When Harp asks him to go check out the two rooms Mund replies from where he is. Several of the party members jump at his voice which gives the barbarian no small sense of glee. Being very careful to keep as straight a line to the exit as possible, Mund works his way back to where he can see in both of the rooms. He reports back to the party "Salix, don't see you little water thingy, but it's so hot in there that I bet it went up like a poof of smoke. Them's some big fires in there too. Almost touchin each other. Some type of metal thing in the floor, holding the coals or something. Now this other room here, it just seems plain peaceable. Water don't look too deep and that is a might perty fountain in there. Like to meet the nymph that had model for that one. "With that Mund heads back to the party, talking as he goes. "I didn't find anything but I didn't get too close either."

OODM: Ok now what.

Allistair could pop a couple of fireballs in the water room, if a trigger-happy response is called for.

Why not? Let's spend our spells, then go back and rest.

OOC: Mark, did Mund actually enter either of the rooms?

From: Porter

Subject Mund goes looking

No.

From: Mark

Subject Mund goes looking

Porter is correct, Mund did not enter any of the rooms. He got within about 5 feet of each doorway.
